From September 2025, the 15 funded hours for working families with children under 3 will expand to 30 hours, meaning eligible working families may be able to claim 30 hours of childcare from the term after their child turns 9 months until they reach school age. – see Childcare Choices
We apply stretched allocation of the extended entitlement.
This means that the funding will be claimed over 51 weeks of the year not 38. This reduces the weekly entitlement but means that the funding is applied every week throughout the year, therefore it will make payments more even all through the year.
Therefore, the hourly entitlement per week will be:
22.35 hours per week for 30 hours claimed
11.17 hours per week for 15 hours claimed
The entitlement pays for the hourly care of each child, it does not include meals and consumables such as extra-curricular activities.
Consumables will be charged at £1.75p per hour of funding, therefore if your child accesses 22.35 hours funding there will be a charge of £39.11 per week.
If your child accesses 11.17 hours funding there will be a charge of £19.55 per week.
All other hours attended will be paid at the rate shown in the table above.
Invoices will be produced on the EYlog monthly, in advance.
Fees will be reviewed again by September.
